Bharat Kamat, president of The Rotary E-Club of District 7890, CT&MA, particpated in National Immunization Days in India this past weekend.

Shown here, in the booth set up by the local Rotary Club of Vasco Da Gama, Bharat is vaccinating a baby held by its mother.
Our district's e-Club, originally a pilot, and approved as a permanent club by the 2010 Council on Legislation, is small but steadily growing with members in Connecticut, Massachusetts and countries as far away as Australia and India.  The president serves for two years.  This is Bharat's first year as president; so, he will be president again 2011-2012.
Bharat plans to be part of  our district's NID team which will join thousands of Rotarians during National Immunization Days in India January 2012.  Watch for more details over the next several months.  Contact DGE Sue Klock if you are interested in traveling to India with the team.  The trip will be organized by Sue with the help of polio-survivor, DG Ann Lee Hussey.
