On November 5th District 7890 will be holding its annual Foundation Dinner.

This year’s dinner will be held at Chez Josef in Agawam from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will cost $45 per person.  You can register now on the District 7890 website.  On the home page look for Coming Events, and click on the ticket box above it.  You can register as an individual, a couple or as a club.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Rochelle Ripley who will be talking about hawkwing, a Native American non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.   The organization was created to offer cross-cultural education while assisting the people of the Lakota (Sioux) Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota meet their basic human needs.

RI President Arch Klumph in 1917 wanted to create an endowment “for the purposes of doing good in the world”.  His vision became the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International in 1928.

The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International has been transforming the world for 98 years.  Because of the Rotary Foundation we have the ability to participate in district grants, global grants, scholarship programs, and vocational training teams.

Please come to the dinner on November 5th and celebrate The Rotary Foundation and participate in good fellowship.
