Welcome to the home page for the District 7890 Water & Sanitation Projects. In the Rotary year 2003-04 the President of Rotary International Jonathan B. Majiyagbe asked Rotary clubs to emphasize water and sanitation projects in their districts. With each passing year as our efforts to eradicate polio have become more successful, the emphasis on our next great challenge - clean water for the world - has become greater.
Many Rotary clubs in our District 7890 have been sponsoring successful and sustainable water and sanitation projects in a variety of countries. You are welcome to review these that are linked to this Welcome page in the list to the left and contact the individuals to obtain more information about each project and details about how your club may become involved. If you are interested in starting a new water and sanitation project this site will list other resources and links to assist you as information becomes available and improvements are made to this site.
