The convention includes five days of non-stop Rotary fun and fellowship with inspirational stories sprinkled liberally throughout.  The House of Friendship opens on Saturday, June 10th, opening plenary sessions occur on Sunday, June 11, then three days of Rotary excitement, plenary and breakout sessions, plus other activities, fill Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, June 12, 13 and 14.

Two stories from the Westfield Club...
 

The Rotary Club of Westfield is proud to announce it’s 90th Paul Harris Fellow Award was awarded to Donald Clark.  The award was presented by Club President Timothy Flynn.

 



The Westfield Rotary Club and the Westfield Senior Citizen Center joined forces on a project to help keep our senior citizens safe. The Rotary Club installed house numbers on homes to make it easier and quicker for first responders to locate their residences by placing them in a highly visible area. This project followed last year's battery replacement for smoke and fire detectors. Rotarian Jennifer Gruszka places a number on one of 40 elderly residences.

 

 
The Wethersfield/Rocky Hill Rotary Club is pleased to announce the formation of a new Interact Club at Rocky Hill High School, under the guidance of History teacher Jeff Mertens.
 
 
 
 
Rotarian Keith Harris of the Ipswich, MA Club visited the Westfield, MA Rotary Club on Monday, February 1, 2016. Keith discussed his cross-country bicycle ride, completed in 2014, during which he raised over $42,000 for The Rotary Foundation. 
 
 
 
On January 4, 2016, members of the Wethersfield-Rocky Hill Rotary Club presented their second check at Hartford's CCMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. 
 
 
 
 
 
On November 24th, the West Hartford Rotary club presented a check for $3086 to the West Hartford "Town that Cares" at Town Hall.  The money was raised in conjunction with Liberty Bank.

The Rotary Club of Westfield welcomes their newest member, John Slattery, Executive Chef of Papp's Bar and Grill.  Welcoming John is President Jennifer Gruszka and Tim Flynn, President Elect.
 

 
In a small village in rural Afghanistan, girls who are graduating from high school have nowhere to go for college. We can change that. We can build a school today where these girls can go to become nurses, teachers and engineers. The Zabuli Technical College will make history as the first girls’ college in rural Afghanistan.
